Iran National Identity in Malak –o – Shoara Bahar`s poetry

Abstract:

Mohammad – Taqi Bahar had been living in a historical period of Iran in which religious, geographical boundaries, culture and Iran`s sovereignty were exposed to numerous threats. Indeed, he, as a pious patriot, had a complete knowledge about these issues and attentively took into consideration the national identity phenomenon in his books and poets. They mostly consists the historical and political events of around a century ago, thoroughly depicts the attitudes, traditions and culture of the people who were living in that period of time. In this paper and survey of Divan the writer`s definition and his point of view about the national identity have been discussed. This article mainly focuses on those aspects of national identity that the author has put forward as one of the fundamental elements of identity.
